Rijeka

This morning our boat did not sail as planned to our final destination…..it stayed in the commercial port of Rijeka so our planned tour did not take place. So..we went to the fruit, veg, meat and fish markets and then various cafes and around the town. Many of the buildings look like some in Vienna…this is over one of the main gates to the old town. A smooth run to Zagreb airport going through over a dozen tunnels…some through mountains were quite long but some very short so maybe just for protection from avalanches in winter.

Back to LHR a bit late and now home.
A good holiday but always nice to get home.
