Cool!!
I woke up to an absolutely gorgeous, cool morning! It was in the mid-50's F, sunny, brilliant blue sky. It warmed up to 85F/29C this afternoon, but felt balmy compared to the past two days!
You might remember that my ex sold his house a few months ago, along with my old garden. The woman (and her husband) who bought it did so because of the garden :-) But, she doesn't know much about gardening. I had the foresight to leave my card with my ex and told him to let the new buyers know that if they wanted an introduction to the garden that I'd be happy to do that. So she contacted me and I went over this morning. To say that it's weedy is an understatement, but the new owner is so excited to be learning about the plants, and the weeds. I'll go work with her every other week or so to teach her about the garden. We're both just thrilled - I'm so delighted that there's someone who really wants to love and tend the garden!
I worked on my class for the rest of the day - I start teaching two weeks from tomorrow morning, so time is ticking, so to speak. But I'm feeling pretty good about it.
I checked the spider web on the Sarracenia that I posted a couple of days ago (Sarracenia). I couldn't see that much had changed...both the spider and the web, and the plant are waiting for victims. But I noticed this spider...maybe an exoskeleton? Someone might know. I doubt it's due to anything nefarious, but it was interesting and transparent and blowing around in the faint breeze.
