After rather a lot of trail and error I have finally managed to get the track cleaning wagon to run correctly.  After running it round the main lines for a while I was surprised to see just how much dirt it actually lifted, see extra.  This was just a test of the vacuum attachment, will try the rail head cleaning pads and cleaning fluid later.
