Tops

We have arrived at that point in the year where Large Skipper butterflies are the most numerous in the meadows, and thistle tops are always a good place to spot them. 

It was sunnier and warmer than it had been for a while, Speckled Wood, Meadow Brown, Peacock, Comma, Red Admiral Green-veined White and Small White butterflies were also on the wing, along with Cinnabar, Chimney Sweeper, Silver-ground Carpet and Brown Silver-line moths.
