Akbuk life
Up at the unusually early hour of 7.30am today so that I could take Rufus for a twenty minute walk before it gets too hot to stroll far. Consequently of course, we were back by 8.20 when I'm usually just surfacing. I'd then done all my morning stuff by 10am hahaha. Hakan (pool man) called to install some plastic grass along my open iron fence border (at my request), for privacy when in the garden and especially when in the pool. This what most people do around here and I finally decided I needed to follow suit.
At 12.30ish, Rufus and I walked to the sea front to go to Sahara cafe where there is a CoDA table top (jumble) sale every week, as I had some things to donate, and friends to sit and talk to for an hour. From there, we then walked to the vet for Rufus to have his annual rabies vaccination, not due till Friday but I didn't want to tempt fate - which turns out to have been a fortuitous decision.
Once home I had a few hours of pool time before going, with Rufus, to Anita and Dan's house (they live in the same road) for dinner and a great evening of conversation although this was interrupted by the vet who called to say that she couldn't find Rufus' details on the government data base for dogs vaccinated against rabies and so I have to go to the Tarim (Government Agricultural) office in Didim before Friday to get his details reinstalled. This news didn't spoil my evening but it will probably spoil my day tomorrow.
Bed time when I realised I'd taken no photo today, so this pic is the 1am view of Akbuk main street from the balcony.
