A Humdrum Laburnum Conundrum

I must stipulate that I'm not calling out laburnum in any way for being humdrum but purely my efforts at capturing a photographic depiction of it. I always look forward to our laburnum tree coming into flower as it really does add a wonderful burst of bright colour to our garden and looks particularly resplendent when the sun catches it.
Unfortunately, today was not one of those days so it presented me with a bit of a conundrum as to how to capture it for blip. I took quite a few shots which were not particularly inspiring, so as the weather conditions were refusing to play ball by showing the laburnum off to its best advantage I just decided to wait until it was almost dusk and then use some flash to make the bright yellow blooms pop out from the gathering darkness. I included the fading blue light of the sky in the background and gave it the widescreen treatment as an attempt at adding a sense of drama :-)
