9 Elms

After years of being located near Hyde Park, the US Embassy has moved to this interesting building in the Nine Elms area, close to the Thames and just 10 minutes walk from the gentrified Battersea Power Station. Went over there today as I dropped my son off at Vauxhall so he could head for the Kingston on Thames International Film Festival for a rare screening of 'Tommy'. After a look round the Power Station it was back to central London and Tottenham Court Road. Foyles and then up to British Library Reading room until I got kicked out as it was closing. Met my son and home on the train eventually - more cancellations and messing around going on.
