One of the last big jobs nearing the end of the academic year was done today, the Year Four Exit Point with parent engagement. Every parent came, despite the rain, to see what their children have been learning in the How Humans Work I.P.C. unit this term. The children taught them about how eyes work and gave one parent an eye-sight test; the dangers of smoking tobacco and drinking alcohol; the respiratory system; mindful eating, with ten blindfolded parent volunteers eating crackers, sugarcubes and pinapple chunks in a mindful way, and then, finally, the most fun of all, modelling the passage of food into bolus, chyme and finally faeces.  All that hilarity was rounded off with a Kahoot! quiz.
