It’s all about colour
As you can see today’s blip is of some houses on Portobello Promenade, taken on this morning’s walk with Martin.
Seeing these cheerful brightly painted houses makes me feel happy, especially, with the blue sky behind, which in turn made me think about the importance of colour in our lives.
Apparently, there is this thing called Colour Psychology, which assesses how important colour is in our well-being. Anyway, this led me down a rabbit hole and I found this interesting article from the University of Leeds, authored by Dr. Vien Cheung, Associate Professor of Colour and Imaging Science.
This also made me think about many of our youngsters who seem nowadays to permanently dress in black (or similarly dingy tones) while glued to their mobile phones …
I have added an extra from Portobello High Street, taken on the same walk. Nothing like hitching a lift on a mobility scooter … it’s Miami Life, at its best.
Have a colourful day, all.
