Americana
The weather was better today and I really enjoyed my morning walk with Phin in the community gardens. After a quick lunch we met up with Stuart and Linda on the beach for a bit of sun worshipping and a game of Pétanque. The ladies took a promising lead but sadly lost 7-10 though we did both manage a great shot each at the final end.
An early dinner before Mr PHL drove us up to the village hall for the first night of the Americana festival. We saw a wonderful duo called Rain of animals who played some great tunes, a singer Rhona MacFarlane who had a lovely voice but didn’t play much in the way of bluegrass/americana with the evening finishing with Ags Connolly who had a great line in patter and played some stonking tunes. Mr PHL collected us at the end to save us a chilly walk to the campsite.
A good day.
Backblipped Wednesday for Friday.
