Hopeless bird dog

Late night outings - this shot of me and Sami has been taken at 21:30. Today has been a rainy and grey day.

We let Sami to run free in Seiväskorpi field. Sami scented a rabbit and off he ran chasing it. It took long 10 minutes before we saw him again, longest time ever he has been gone. (We saw a bat flying above our heads when waiting.) It probably will be impossible task to train this dog to act as a bird dog and to hunt. Sami totally looses his ears and obedience when he spots a rabbit or squirrel.

Finally Sami came back, being very wet and puffy. He seemed to have hurt his leg, and we were very worried. When back home the leg fortunately seemed to be ok.

At 23:00 I noticed that today is an international geocaching day and we must go now and get one!  (I'm very proud of our geocaching team = my family, they all are ready to go for a night cache!)
