Management By Delusion

It has to be said - there is no kindness for management stupidity here.  It's simply too tiring.

Their main job at the moment seems to be renaming teams - like really stupid names as in Space Kowgirls and Kowboys.  That's not stupid, it's somewhere beyond stupid but they think it's brilliant.  It's just as well that my opinion is ignored.

My job was once:
Make changes
Test them 
Implement them

That worked brilliantly until "Agile".

Now my job is:
Get a request from developers
Open a JIRA ticket
Work on your "Definition of Ready" and "Definition Of Done"
Make a 3 line change to a program - and document that in your JIRA ticket
Test your change
Promote it to the last Stage in our software
Open a Change in HPSM - with attendant 30 minutes of admin
Document both the JIRA ticket and the Change in Confluence.
Wait until someone who knows nothing about the changes you have made activates it.
Send e-mails to everyone connected with the JIRA ticket
Tick all the boxes in your JIRA ticket
Close the JIRA ticket (something that NO-ONE will ever read)

And management claim to have streamlined all our processes and made them less bureaucratic.  They're the guys on the big bucks so they really know what they're talking about, eh Herr Kowmanager....?

It's really not a happy time at work.
