Another walk in another park.

Leighton Hall is another historic house just  three miles from us.
Kere is the scene in part of the delightful garden there is also extensive parkland.
The original house on this site goes  back to 1642 but much of it  was burnt do wn in the Jacobite rising in 1715.

Today’s house goes back to the 1820s  and it became well known as the home of the Gillows, the famous furniture makers based in Lancaster.
