Syringa vulgaris

which I planted 4 years ago, is making its first and only flower this year. I had nearly given up on this plant, but even as very small and thin, it managed to make one flower that smells wonderful. The smell was the reason to plant it. I love the scent they have. 

It's been raining most of the day and it's quite cold. So I actually lit the fire this afternoon. Tomorrow will be very similar day weather wise, but with less rain in forecast.
