escalator control

I met our visitors in the morning and took them to the train station. It was very nice to see them. At work I tackled a big form for which I required help from various people. The form required information a simple HR database query should have yielded. Instead I had to ask the HR person responsible for me for the information. German bureaucracy is just totally insane.

The innards of an escalator are quite fascinating. I would have loved to see the inside of that control box.
