The theater of intimidation

A couple of city blocks with protesters. 5000 national guard troops. 700 Marines. 300 performative arrests. 4 cars set on fire. $165 million cost. None of which requested by the legitimate leaders of CA…

“Why are they (the protesters) wearing masks? What are they hiding? Why don’t they want to be recognized?” Asks Dear Leader. How about asking these questions of the original offenders: ICE agents in camo and full masks without ID swarming crowds of ‘brown’ people…

“Those who burn the flag should be arrested” he says. How about those already convicted felons who are burning the Constitution to the ground.

This was never about “regaining control”: it’s all about cinema, theater, performance, and out of context (as well as out of proportion) images and actions. It’s called intimidation. And nobody, esp *that* man should have free use of the military for their own purposes.
