Strawberry Moon

The full moon in June is called Strawberry Moon or Rose Moon.
The moon's red or orange colour depends on how low it is above the horizon. Due to the long path of light through the atmosphere, short-wave (blue) components are scattered, making the light appear orange/reddish. Today, the full moon was particularly low, making it appear very large and very red.
Unfortunately, it was positioned so unfavourably between our hills that there was no landmark that could have been placed in front of it to make it appear even larger. Even redoing a picture that showed part of our family in front of a full moon was impossible. What a pity.

In the extra you will find a collage of the diverse life on a Valerian, which is allowed to grow by a small stream between the fields.
