Charlestown

I follow a cross stitch business that I really like on Instagram so was delighted to find that the shop is in St Austell. That was our first stop of the day and it was lovely to meet Emma Louise and many purchases were made.
We then drove to Mevagissey including a very hair raising drive through extremely narrow streets. We wandered round the harbour and shops then found a nice pub where most of us had fish and chips for lunch. Stumbled upon a lovely craft fair on the way back to the car where more purchases were made. (Not sure how we'll get everything home but I'm sure we will!)
Next we drove to Charlestown. This has been used for a film set many times including for Poldark but a lot of work is being done at the harbour so it wasn't looking it's best. We made it on to a rocky beach where you can see in the extra the cover for the next big girl band was taken!
We had bought pasties for tea followed by cream scones followed by the final of Race Across The World.
