Morning walk.
I set off as usual this morning, on my own this time, driving the car to park in the road at the rear of the Moor Hall Hotel. The weather forecast was for possible storms this afternoon, so I wanted to avoid the possibility of getting soaked.
I did the usual circular having a coffee stop at the Farmhouse Bistro before walking back again down through the Moor Hall Estate.
The sky was looking increasingly darker, and it is very humid.
I took the photo on my way up the rest of the driveway, which is bordered on either side by the private golf course, and overhung with the branches of the various trees now in their summer regalia.
It was evidently Ladies Day today.
The drive ends at the main road from there it is short walk along to the Bistro.
I used my one crutch this morning.
I only look at the number of steps when I have a walk. I don’t continually measure them through the day.
I never think to see how far I’ve walked. But it transpires that this regular one with a coffee stop is two miles! I was pleased about that.
It’s now lunchtime so I’ll stop here.
I’ve been entertained since I got back by a family of sparrows feeding young ones, our regular Woodpecker and his son, then seeing the ongoing nest building shenanigans by the Wood Pigeons in the Liquid Amber tree.
