Wild Wednesday ...
... Double-crested Cormorant posing.
With the weather being so nice today ... and not as hot as tomorrow is supposed to be ... we decided to switch up our normal Thursday eat-out-night to today. We grabbed some supper from our favorite smokehouse and headed to Jacobsburg State Park.
After eating our delicious supper we took a walk along the Henry's Woods trail. We almost always see people and dogs in the creek and I was hoping to get some shots like last Thursday as I had only taken about 15 pictures before coming to Jacobsburg.
There were several young people in the creek plus some dogs. I took some photos of these but then on the way home I saw this beautiful Double-crested Cormorant sunning him/herself at Green Pond. I asked Richard to turnaround and drive by the pond in the hopes that he/she would allow me to get some photos. Luckily the pond is almost right up to the roadway and I didn't even need get out of the car. I thought the lighting was perfect.
