Another survey day…..

hot and sunny with a warm wind blowing, which was lovely and refreshing. Saw so much! The Siskin in the extra was down in a patch of dandelions and I didn’t realise he had a caterpillar till I looked later! All the wildflowers are coming through and looking good and the trees blossoming. This stretch of the area has some lovely open views to the Cairngorms and Tulloch hills, which is what locals say we must call the Kincardine’s. Then there are some good Pine woodlands too. I don’t think our beetle has hatched yet, maybe in ten days, when the next survey is due.
