Birding
I went to Oare Marshes because those birds won't watch themselves. Here's a rather fuzzy shot of an avocet, it was some distance away, there were also other birds - the usual mid-week crew (regular readers might remember that the star birds don't tend to work during the week, they come out on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays). The avocet is a star, but they have them by the yard at Oare Marshes - they can cover all the shifts with plenty to spare. The weather was terrific, 25 degrees, and there was a gentle breeze. It really was lovely being out in nature.
