Rowing day - new oars an a spare set
Early morning to catch the tide. Started at the quay and fetched the equipment from the shed to the Basin where Victory was being serviced. She was hitched up and badly angled against the jetty. D decided to get in, bail her out and then lean over to straighten her up. A mistake, as it turned out ... as he face planted the mud on her far side as the boat righted itself and went beyond the point of no return. Amusing for us, on dry land, but on reflection, it could have been far worse than muddy clothes, face and bruised ego. The return row was very good. Lovely to have her back and ready for the summer season.
More rowing fun in the afternoon as we got Ready and Record Reign ready for tomorrow's launch. They are both now in the sailing club and ready for the season.
In the pub after we shared stories of rowing disasters, to everyone's amusement.
