Real World

I was watching a documentary about Peter Gabriel. It showed footage of him through the ages, from the shorn-headed days of his early solo albums in the late 70s to the present day with his silver goatee and array of waistcoats. He floats my boat in all his many incarnations, but this footage of him with a bit of a tan and scruffy ponytail was particularly appealing. The documentary showed his Real World studios in Wiltshire (although not the canteen which is meant to be amazing) but also showed his recent work on human rights, with WITNESS which advocates the use of technology and social media to document human rights violations, plus his involvement with The Elders, a group of international leaders (Mandela and Tutu to name a few) who use their influence and skills to aid global conflict.
