Furnace Lass

Sporty Saturday

We had a very sporty Saturday, well we didn't actually participate in any sporting activity as such but we did see a lot of it.

We were over in Callander at the Mc Laren Sports centre to see our grandson's first game with his new team ; played in a downpour for the whole game, the poor boys were absolutely soaked.

I spotted these cyclists waiting near the football pitch to begin their road race in the hills around Callander and Aberfoyle. One of the cyclists told me that they had to cycle as a group for a distance of 7 miles to the start of their actual race.

You can see how dedicated the young football players and the cyclists are to be involved in their sport in such a dismal. wet Saturday.

Large might be worth a look just to see the face of the poor keeper after yet another goal by the opposition. Yet he was one of the best players on the park.

We drove over to Hamilton after the boys' game finished to support our big team , Dumbarton. They played in glorious sunshine but even that didn't bring out the best in them, Hamilton Accies were in superb form , we weren't in any sort of form at all and lost 4-1. Hopefully this will be the last of our out of form games and the rest of the season will get better. Sat with another blipper Superhero
who has posted an image of our only goal so I will leave it to him to show you the sunny football shot.
