A dip in the harbour.

Some time to kill while isbi attended a medical appointment so I visited Greenwich Point, an area I know very well from my childhood. The blip shows the historic (and scenic) Greenwich Baths.
Back in the early 20th century, this was a training pool for many of Australia’s top swimmers including Andrew “Boy” Charlton - of course, the more mature blippers will recall seeing him win the gold medal in the 1500m at the 1924 Paris Olympics. He also collected the bronze behind the American Johnny Weissmuller in the 400m. Johnny went on to star in the Tarzan movies of the 1930s and 40s but Boy never made it to Hollywood, entering a far more useful vocation as a sheep farmer in southern NSW.
