I found them!

A much more successful wander today, this time to the nature reserve where I found all the butterflies that were hiding from me yesterday! Including the Marbled Whites who were out in force, many of who didn't want to pose  - how rude!!  Lots of Meadow Browns and various skippers about too, along with small tortoiseshell, small heaths and some cinnabar moths!   The birds were very thin on the ground but did see a yellow wagtail, yellowhammer, marsh harrier, buzzard, goldfinches and chiffchaffs.

Feeling very toasty warm today - a little too hot for me but I won't grumble! Thunderstorms have been forecast for later so we'll see if they water the garden well for me!  First homegrown sweet pea out today too in the garden!
