Osprey on guard

Patiently sitting in the sun while the partner is off fishing. 

The wind of the night had abated and it was now a delightfully still morning. Amazingly, I wasn't bothered by any biting insects as I walked my BTO survey route. Usually at this time off year, the midges in the undergrowth are pretty annoying.

The river was all quiet aside from a few large salmon.
