Puffins

Today I fulfilled a long held dream to go and see puffins. I’ve tried in earnest to go for the last two years, to no avail, but finally managed it today.

The Farne Islands boat trip was great and the puffins, shags, kittiwakes, terns, eider ducks, guillemots and seals were abundant.

Another glorious day so we finished it getting sunburned on the beach beneath Bamburgh Castle.
