Today's the day

Today's the day ......................... to be where it's at

There was a real buzz about Kirkcudbright this afternoon. The rain of the morning was long gone, the sun was shining and temperatures were balmy.  People were out and about in the streets - leisurely strolling or sitting outside at cafe tables.

It's all because it's the weekend of the Kirkcudbright Jazz Festival  and things have already started to happen.  Will has got a season ticket for the entire weekend - so I'm not expecting to see much of him during that time!  He'll be happily sketching and painting and I daresay will be posting a few blips along the way.  It was actually back in 2018 when we were here at the Jazz Festival and enjoying it so much, that we decided we'd like to move here.  So it's always a time full of good memories for us.

The above is one of the wonderful paintings by the artist Jon Rowland.  His exhibition at the Harbour Cottage Gallery comes to an end today - but as you can see, there will still be plenty of entertainment on offer here, over the entire weekend ...........................!
