Mite in the Lichen

I wandered the garden this afternoon to find a Blip.  I was with my new favourite lens, the Fuji 30mm macro, so I was looking for small.

And this spider mite (I think that's what I should call it) appeared in my viewfinder quite unexpectedly, roaming the lichen on the sundial.

I'm trying to stay away from a lot of news: what with the encroaching dictatorship in the US and the strange crash of the Air India flight, not to mention Trump cheering on Israel over Iran. 

There's not much cheer in real life.
