Sunshine in pastry

No sleep for me but with only a 10 minute walk we were cleared security and in the lounge by 3.45an

The plane was not full so a bonus of an entire row and the thrill of the short runway into Funchal. Although we have visited the island before we arrived via ferry from neighbouring island last time as our plane was unable to land.

We were at our hotel quickly and our room was ready too.

A good wander around the town and revisiting some of the places from last time.  Lots of building and Micks favourite bar is gone, making way for something more manicured.

We revisited a pharmacy having forgotten to bring insect repellant and a supermarket for a bottle of water and snacks having remembered the amazing fresh fish and fruit on sale.  Also popped into ale-hop for a.phone charging cable....doh!

Mick selected the figure restaurant. Another revisit and when my.dood arrived i remembered.that they got my order wrong last time too.  It was however reasonably priced and tasty.

An early night to bed.
