A WHOLE day off work today! Can you flippin’ believe it?!

With the wee ones packed off to school and The Eldest coming-to, I headed off out in good company to take a walk up Orrest Head in Windermere.

I was being driven and as we headed down the road, I was suddenly aware of how completely and utterly out of it I felt. My brain had just not woken up at all. We stopped for a brew and a blueberry muffin and I soon felt much better.

Simply put: the walk up Orrest Head was just what the doctor ordered. Good conversation and blustery conditions quite literally blowing any semblance of cobwebs well away.

By the time we got back down, a trip to Lakeland and some of their Mixed Fruit Liquorice aided the recovery with a sausage, bacon and egg bap from Wilfs at Staveley completing it.

The afternoon too was lovely and relaxing, as I pottered around and got myself sorted for the third of the week’s performances.

The show seemed to go really well again and as a cast it really feels like we have found our rhythm, just as proceedings draw to a close….
