Burn, baby, burn!

Glad I managed a long overdue, genuinely well controlled, minimally smokey burn of the non-compostable garden green waste…before the heavy splashy stuff and with hardly a breath of wind! All ashes destined to fertilise my mini orchard.

Was hollered at by owner of big old house whose garden I back onto, but applauding rather than complaining ..hurrah! She’s old school, and is also a fan of well managed burning which doesn’t cause a nuisance, and has invited me again for large gins in her somewhat sumptuous grounds! (I feel like the impoverished neighbour in the gardener’s cottage really!)
