After the storm.
Heavy overnight rain... thunderstorms at breakfast time!
Then it suddenly cleared, and we got a long walk along the river Cocker in Cockermouth.
We spotted this Heron who was about to start fishing for his breakfast by Tom Rudd Beck, which flows into the river Cocker.
We were SO lucky with the weather for Ros' Garden Party yesterday afternoon!
Wordsworth was born in that house, but when he was aged 10, his Father died...and the whole family were dispersed to different places...
In 1937, Wordsworth House was nearly demolished to make way for a bus station!!! It is now part of The National Trust. ( Ros has volunteered in the garden every Thursday morning for the last 10 years. )
