The elusive purple hairstreak

I think this the most common hairsteak butterfly in the south and west UK.
Normally they are spotted in Pendunculate and Sessile oak trees but this one was sunbathing in the sunshine at the side of a small rarely used road.
Its wings when open look a very dark greyish purple and you can just see the orange eye peeping out on the wing in this image.
