At this Stage of Life

At the Care Home.  A real shame because despite all of the plans laid for a day's entertainment, a great deal of rain literally put a damper on the occasion.  The Lord-Lieutenant of Orkney performed the formal opening.  David (Janny since Day 1) was a very capable MC.  It was to have been a celebration of 20 years of care at Smiddybrae in Dounby.  It still was, albeit most of it indoors.  It was tremdously well supported.  The only fly in the ointment was that my Mum, and Betty, started shouting, but not at each other.  I never become tired of telling folk of the superb standard of care.  It is apparently innate in all of the staff.  Met my neighbour who asked CMC if she was having me admitted.  She declined to comment.
