1207 day of war

Hello, friends!

My idea to dye tapestries turned out to be successful — I immediately sold the one I had dyed and received an order for another one, even larger in size. So far, I’ve dyed only two, and I liked the first one (the one in the previous photo) more than the second. But I gained some valuable experience and learned how to make them better, so I’m trying to do everything as nicely as possible.

In the photo — the view from my window before sunrise, after yet another missile attack. Lately, the shelling has intensified significantly. However, compared to previous years, we’re not experiencing major issues with electricity or water. Right now, it just drains us and makes it hard to sleep properly. This whole week, I’ve been feeling tired, and it’s been difficult to work productively.

It’s hard to understand what’s really going on in the country. As expected, the negotiations didn’t lead to a ceasefire, and now we’re going through yet another summer offensive by the Russians. Still, we believe that, once again, we’ll be able to endure and survive.

What keeps me going is the thought that next month we might be able to take a weekend trip to the mountains and spend the whole day walking in nature — without air raid sirens and without the buzzing of drones overhead. Before the war, I had never been to the mountains because I lived very far away, but now we’re only a few hours away by train, and it feels like the best kind of rest one could imagine. So even though things are hard right now, I’m trying to work more and achieve everything I’ve planned. I’m sure it will be worth it, and we’ll get some good emotions and maybe even forget about the war for a few days.

Thank you for your support, and thank you for your help on BuyMeACoffee. It really means a lot. I believe we will get through this. Thank you.
