The Chair

After a coffee and chat at our hosts house, we set off the fifteen minute drive to spend a couple of hours on Agios Ioannis beach (Ithaca, Ionian Islands, Greece) that looks towards Cephanlonia. It was a good 35C and after we could no longer shelter in the shade of an overhanging tree, we set off.

We looked for the oldest Olive tree on Ithaca (some 1,500 to 2000 years) old but after an hour had to admit defeat despite instructions from our friends!  They'll take us there tomorrow evening!

However, near where we were looking for the tree was the house in the blipfoto. It's just so typically greek. Full of colour and patina from years of wear. I do think the chair makes the composition. It overlooks Cephalonia!

We're having a night in using up the last of our salad and drink as we're likely to be out the last few nights here!
