Scarlet Mormon butterfly

A warm and pleasant morning at the Butterfly House today. We’ve had loads of new pupae delivered this week and we had this beautiful Scarlet Mormon butterfly from the Philippines emerge first thing. By the end of the shift it had made its first flight and was happily resting on this rope.
