Ladybirds

I thought it would be interesting to post a comparison between a native ladybird and a harlequin, and thought that's what I had here (harliquin on the left, native on the right, obviously).  However I now discover it's much more complex that that with native ladybirds having a huge range of designs.  So I've give up on being clever (hooray I hear you cry) and just put these together for the fun of it.

The shots were taken at lunchtime as I walked through the reserve to meet a friend for a long and lovely afternoon catch-up session.  As for what I did this morning I really can't remember (oops!) but I suspect not very much!
