Test Drive

Thank you for the response to yesterday’s photo.

Today we bought a lightweight wheelchair for Richard. It is lighter for me to push than the NHS ones as Richard is unable to use his arms. We took it up to Dalby to try out. Whilst it is better on tarmac it coped with the trails as did I. When walking Richard’s head falls forward so he can’t enjoy the views. If he has back support he can look around him. So he enjoyed today. Ultimately he will need a specialised electric wheelchair.

Our sons father in law suffered a brain haemorrhage following a fall. He is undergoing surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain. Mary his daughter is a nurse and thought he was having a stroke because of his symptoms. Fortunately she knew speed was of the essence which hopefully will make a difference.

Not the news any of us wanted to hear.
