Garden stroll

It’s been a busy, but enjoyable, day and among other things I have a large lemon meringue pie to show for it and, as I write this, Smithers is baking a banana cake. (Our middle son texted earlier and wondered if by any chance the family could drop by for a late lunch at Granny and Grandpa’s tomorrow … ?)

I took myself out into the dappled evening sunlight for a Blip photoshoot but couldn’t decide which photo to use, so I’m afraid you have yet another collage. 

And now I’m about to go back out into the garden and do some dead heading. It’s a never-ending job in the summer because I have so many beautiful rose bushes, but it’s a labour of love as far as I’m concerned.
