Fyvie Castle

A childfree afternoon so off to lunch and castle tour we go. Lunch at Murly Tuck was delicious as usual then Fyvie Castle. The rain was lashing it down all the way there but stopped by the time we left.

Our tour was led by the lovely and knowledgeable Bob (white haired chap in the middle right picture, explaining why that picture is insured for £25 million). Jen’s childhood knowledge of Fyvie Castle was confirmed, it’s very spooky! Including one Laird who wanted to marry someone else but divorce wasn’t an option so just locked his current wife up and let her starve to death before marrying the next one.
