Tod
We went to Todmorden ( known locally as Oddmorden!) this afternoon, first to Calder Cheesehouse for lunch . A place l’ve heard a lot about but have never been. We had the best value cheeseboard ever, could choose our own selection of five cheeses ( and what a comprehensive selection) it came with crackers, quince jelly and grapes, we added charcuterie, onions in balsamic vinegar and a pork pie. Two glasses of wine and a craft beer and the total bill was less than £35, amazing.
Adele then went home because she didn’t fancy where Tim and l were going : Basin Rock Music Festival. Held in the Unitarian Church ( now decommissioned) building. We had especially come to see Duncan Marquiss ( photograph of him tuning his guitar before it started) and we were not disappointed, fabulous music, really innovative.
We also wanted to see Juni Havel from Norway who really did have a wonderful voice ( reminded me of Judy Collins).
Got back to base where Adele had made a delicious supper from a Mark Diacono recipe , top day.
A collage in extras that explains more about our day if you have the time or interest.
