Beware!!!

Phew! Missed it. That was lucky!!
I went to Specsavers... :-))

I walked up the plot early morning. I picked a carrier bag full of perennial kale & popped it up in the Community fridge. Picked a bag for one of John's drinking buddies too. Covered the blackcurrant bushes with my homemade net curtain cloches. I've got too many skinny net dubries, not enough large. The sewing machine will get revved up later. Weeded between the fruit bushes. Convolvulus.... Grh!! Gooseberries need protection.. When the experts advise one to plant bushes so many feet apart. Take heed!!! I did'nt. Hence a very prickly predicament.
Usual routine in CK with Mum apart from losing her reading glasses. I hunted high & low, but to no avail. Gardened for an hour then made Mum's lunch.
This afternoon, lunch with hubby, a few domestics chores followed. Dropped hubby at the pub, drove up to the plot, fenced part of the gooseberry bed. Needed more fencing. Drove out to Trago, purchased plastic netting, plus 6mtr of shade net. Another sewing job on the cards.
