Memories
A late post for yesterday which was a busy day.
We went to London and spent the morning volunteering in St John's Garden. An "edible forest" specialist came to advise us on planting juneberry, blueberry, tayberry, wineberry, passionfruit, redcurrant, white fig and grape! The first extra shows MrHCB posing proudly behind the Juneberry (Amelanchier) which was our contribution. In the afternoon he saw a cataract specialist and will probably have the operation in a few weeks' time.
At lunchtime, we were on our balcony for another RAF flypast (second extra). It was a much better day than it was on VE Day.
In the evening I went to a 50th Anniversary dinner to celebrate graduating from the London Business School with an MBA in 1975. The main picture is our graduation shot. I'm hiding near the back as usual. I love all those bellbottom trousers and hair. I'm sure a graduation shot today wouldn't look like that. There were 87 of us in the class including 6 girls. 7 have since died and a handful have disappeared without trace, but there were 35 of us there last night, some from as far afield as Sydney and New York.
