Keeping the crib safe
Yes, the seasonal crib is currently living next to the organ bench and a new home will be found when the building work is finished. Actually, it's very useful for holding items I need to keep near me, and if my phone buzzes with a blood sugar alert, it's less noticeable to everyone else than when the phone is on the organ bench.
Pre pandemic, my main workplace job had me working with the students who learned basic trades skills! When I was moved from that department, I carried on leading the enrichment club which took place in the workshops, (until my large tools training had expired) and two of the students made me this crib when they heard me musing it would be nice to have a full sized one for church..
I didn't realise for a while that they used, as one of the legs, the length of wood which had been known as my "Mighty Stik" (sic) the one I used to reach top bolts of inter-workshop doors as I was often the last to leave, and the taller ones had forgotten they needed to do that task if I was last to go.
I can only apologise I failed to ensure the correct spelling of stick - I was just highly entertained that not only had they made me a tool to enable me to deal with the bolts, but had named it so no-one else took it for any other purpose!
