It was very much a day of 2 halves today - or more accurately, a day of 3 thirds.
I took Mr W to the bowls club as it was their club triples day (a sort of round robin, except that each team only plays 3 of the other 7 teams). I stopped just long enough to take a few photos, then popped over to The Beehive where I enjoyed the colourful flowers, good coffee and a tasty teacake.
Then it was back to the bowls club where I watched some more play before everyone stopped for lunch. Mr W & I sat in the sun and enjoyed our packed lunch. Play resumed with a game of Spider (where everyone stands with one foot in the ditch and bowls 1 wood at the jack, all at the same time). I think it's obvious who won! Then it was onto the final game of the day. Some players were feeling a bit weary at this point - all that bending down! It does keep them fit though - K, who won the Spider, is 90.
Mr W's team came third, which he was happy with.
