Alpine meadows

Our last day in Armenia which started in sunshine beside Lake Sevan and the Sevanavank Monastery and ended in a spectacular rainstorm in Dilijan. In between we followed the Caucasian Trail for 7 miles or so from Parz Lake to Goshavank Monastery. The extra is the hidden Khachkars we found just off the woodland trail. Emerging from the trees we picnicked in flower meadows sprinkled with orchids taller and more vigorous than I’ve ever seen.
